To grow in Christ, it is vital to be connected with a small group.

We have active community care groups (small groups) that everyone is encouraged to join as they are able. These groups have four key characteristics: Community, Bible Study, Adoration, and Mission. Please contact Sallie Gatlin, the parish administrator (734-367-0422) if you are interested.

Children and Students

All youth from nursery age to young-adults/college students.

During the School Year, we have Kids' Church and Nursery Care on Sundays at 10:30am.

Please direct all questions on nursery and student ministry to our youth director, Nancy Frey (734-945-1862), or our parish administrator, if Nancy is not available.

CHILDCARE - for ages 6 and under is provided during the Sunday 10:30 am service only. This Preschool/Nursery ministry includes a Bible story and activities related to the story.

KIDS' CHURCH - ages K-5. On most Sundays from September to May, a team of two+ adults lead an age-appropriate children’s time. Parents can drop off their children at the beginning of the service (greeters will direct) down the hall. Our leaders provide teaching and some activities to reinforce the Scripture lesson for the wee ones; then during the Peace & announcements, parents collect their children back to the worship service so that students may join their families during Communion. On the last weekend of the month there is no Kids Church, and youth volunteers are given more responsibilities during the worship service.

ACOLYTE CORPS - Interested Youth, with training, may assist the clergy during the worship service. This carries some extra responsibilities so training is handled by Barbara Middlekauff and Fr. Greg. Let either know at church or through the office if your student is interested in being part of the worship service in this way.

YOUTH MINISTRY - We place a high priority on encouraging the faith of our youth and creating space and time for teens to develop good friendships with other Christians, and most importantly, to see God build up their relationship with Him. Our hope is that through fellowship, learning and multi-faceted discipleship, our youth will grow to have confidence and joy in the Lord, with a faith that will withstand the challenges of High School, college and other tough situations that may come their way. Nancy Frey is in charge of organizing Youth and Sunday School ministries. Please see her and/or keep an eye out for further announcements this summer regarding our Fall schedule.

COLLEGE-BOUND & COLLEGE-AGED - As our students transition into adulthood, we continue to pray, encourage, teach, and make available all the resources we can muster! This is a time in life to take full ownership of one’s faith in the face of great temptation. Here are just two of many recommended books that can help us know our own faith better and help answer the challenges of disbelievers in colleges and universities today. 'Making Sense of God: an invitation to the skeptical,' and 'The Reason for God: belief in the age of skepticism.'
